A hybrid planning application was granted in November 2014 for the redevelopment of the site. The application included outline planning permission for the development of residential and employment uses on the site (with associated open spaces, play areas, car parking and amenities) and full planning permission for a 970m section of highway. Access to the development is to be provided from Station Road onto Eastern and Western Road.
Barratt David Wilson Homes are working in partnership with the Homes and Community Agency (HCA) to redevelop Louisburg Barracks for housing. We have recently submitted a reserved matters application for 500 dwellings, of which 20% will be affordable housing, with the provision of open space, associated access and ancillary works.
To view the application please click here. This will take you to East Hampshire District Councils Planning application search facility where you will need to type the application reference 55369/05.
It is anticipated a decision will be made in early April 2016.
Following planning consent being granted we are pleased to announce that our sales team will now be taking over the site. The site is being marketed under the name Heritage Quarter. Please click here to link to our sales page.
