Outline permission was granted for a scheme of up to 225 dwellings with vehicular access from Chalcraft Lane on 8th April 2022 for Land North of Chalcraft Lane, Bersted.

Barratt David Wilson Homes has recently aqcuired an interest in the site and is now progressing the development with an application for Reserved Matters permission. The Reserved Matters application seeks:

• 225 no. dwellings
• Access from Chalcraft Lane
• Open space, including biodiversity net gain enhancements
• New local play area
• Landscaping
• Sustainable urban drainage system 

Barratt David Wilson Homes will be hosting a Public Exhibition at the Jubilee Hall in Bersted on Tuesday 6th December 2022 ahead of application submission toward the end of December 2022.
