Following an Outline planning permission for 200 new homes (granted at appeal in 2022) Barratt David Wilson Homes achieved Reserved Matters consent in January 2024 for the “appearance, landscaping, layout and scale” of the development. A range of 1-4 bedrooms homes can now be provided in the form of terraced, semi-detached and detached houses, as well as apartments. 60 affordable homes will be provided within the following tenures: affordable rent, shared ownership and, subject to a current application, First Homes. The scheme will also deliver the following community facilities on site:

  • Extensive Public open space
  • Equipped play area
  • Fitness trail
  • Community Orchard
  • Allotments

Barratt David Wilson Southampton will also be contributing in excess of £100,000 toward works to improve the A27 and over £2.3million in Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) payments, which will go toward transport improvements, education provision, healthcare, emergency services, community facilities and green infrastructure.
