Barratt David Wilson Homes are proposing a development of 196 new homes on land north of Havant Road, including 30% affordable tenures (as distinct from open market homes), three substantial areas of open space that in turn deliver three distinctive focal points, children’s play space, and a network of walking routes around and through the site.
Planning Permission has recently been granted to Persimmon Homes for 69 No. dwellings on the adjacent land with access from St Georges Avenue (Planning Reference: APP/18/01033). The Warblington development would form an extension beyond this, with a single access road through the consented Persimmon development.
Havant Borough Council's emerging Local Plan seeks to allocate the Warblington site for development as part of Policy H15 (Land East of Castle Avenue) and on this basis we have recently submitted a pre-application request to the Council. Whilst we have not yet received feedback from the Council, we wish to engage early with the surrounding residents.
